The Laacher lake area is for a long time a "Mekka" for geologists and volcanoists.
It belongs to the best investigated, most interesting and most varied volcanic areas of the earth.
The volcanic park is opened by five routes, which are conceived as daily routes.
With three routes (lower, middle and upper Brohltal) by stops of the historical volcano Expresses one starts.
The fourth route leads around the Laacher lake and the fifth route explores the Vinxtbachtal.
At large info-boards the visitors are led by the volcanic park Brohltal/Laacher lake.
