CONCERTS IN THE ABBEY CHURCH

A wide variety of concerts are performed in the Maria Laach Abbey Church throughout the year. Regular concerts by the abbey organist Gereon Krahforst, who is known far beyond the borders of the country, are the foundation of musical offerings. Additional opportunities to enjoy music include unforgettable concerts by the Cappella Lacenis under the direction of Father Philipp Meyer OSB. Young singers from all over Germany, most of them with a background in professional music studies, come together in Maria Laach in a variety of voice combinations to sing a cappella works and oratorios with an orchestra, ranging from the Renaissance to the modern.
